How to Change, Cancel or Refund a QuickStage Plan
Upgrade, downgrade or cancel a QuickStage plan from the billing portal, see what happens to your credits, and request a refund within 7 days. Step by step.

You can change, cancel or ask for a refund on a QuickStage plan in a few minutes, and none of it costs a fee. Upgrades and downgrades happen in the billing portal you open from the Manage subscription page; cancelling there stops future renewals while your plan credits stay usable until the end of the period you already paid for. Refunds are a separate step: email support@quickstage.io from your account email within 7 days of your most recent charge, and we review it against your unused credits.
This guide walks through each path, shows what happens to your credits in each case, and covers the two things people most often get wrong: thinking a refund email also cancels the plan, and forgetting that pay-as-you-go credits live apart from the plan.
Where do I manage my QuickStage plan?
Everything starts on the Manage subscription page at quickstage.io/manage.
- Enter the email your plan is under and press Check my plan. QuickStage has no passwords; your plan, credits and photos all belong to one email address.
- Confirm it's you. If your browser isn't already signed in, we email a sign-in link to that address. Billing changes always require this step, because the portal can change your card and cancel your plan.
- Read your balance card. It shows your plan name, credits remaining and the date your credits next reset. Annual plans also show the renewal date, because annual plans are billed once a year but their credits refresh monthly.
- Press Manage plan / Cancel. That opens our secure billing portal, run by Stripe, our payment processor. Every plan change and cancellation happens there.
If the page says no subscription was found, check that you typed the same address you paid with. A dotted and undotted Gmail address count as one account; most other providers treat them as two.
How do I upgrade or downgrade my plan?
Open the billing portal from the Manage subscription page and choose the new plan. There are no switching fees either way, but the two directions work differently:
- Upgrades take effect immediately. You're charged the price difference between the plans, and the new plan's full monthly credit allotment lands on your account right away.
- Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep your current plan and its credits until then, and the lower plan and its credit amount apply from the next period.
A simple way to decide: if you have a listing to stage this week and you're short on credits, upgrade now. If you just had a slow month, downgrade, because nothing changes until the period you paid for runs out.
If you only need a handful of extra photos, you may not need a bigger plan at all. Pay-as-you-go credits are $1 each, from 1 to 50 at a time, and they sit next to your plan credits. You can see what each QuickStage plan works out to per photo, from $1 a photo on pay-as-you-go down to $0.11 a photo on the annual Agency plan.
How do I cancel a QuickStage subscription?
- Go to the Manage subscription page and confirm your email.
- Press Manage plan / Cancel to open the billing portal.
- Choose to cancel the subscription and confirm.
Cancelling stops future renewals. It doesn't cut you off on the spot: your plan credits remain active through the end of the billing period you already paid for, so stage what you need before that date. There are no cancellation penalties.
When the period ends, your account moves to the free tier. Unused plan credits and any unused QuickFix re-dos from the plan expire at that point. Pay-as-you-go credits you bought separately stay on your account.
What happens to my credits when I change or cancel?
| What you do | Plan credits | QuickFix re-dos | Pay-as-you-go credits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Upgrade | New plan's full monthly amount added right away | New plan's allowance | Kept |
| Downgrade | Current plan's credits until period end, then the lower plan's amount | Current allowance until period end | Kept |
| Cancel | Usable until the end of the paid period, then gone | Usable until period end, then gone | Kept |
| Refund approved | Removed when the refund is processed | Removed | Ask support |
| Renewal payment fails | Paused until a payment goes through | Paused | Kept |
The rule of thumb we give everyone: plan credits follow the plan; $1 credits follow you. Credits you bought one at a time were bought per photo, apart from any subscription, so cancelling a plan doesn't take them away.
How do I get a refund on a QuickStage plan?
Refunds are reviewed by a person, not by a button. Here's the process exactly as our terms state it:
- Email
support@quickstage.iofrom your account email within 7 days of your most recent charge. The Manage subscription page has an "Email support about a refund" link that starts the message for you. - We review the request. Refunds are prorated by unused credits across the billing term, so a plan you barely used gets back more than one you mostly used.
- If it's approved, we process the refund and cancel the subscription in the same step.
Two details matter:
- Sending a refund request doesn't cancel your plan by itself. If you want renewals stopped no matter how the review goes, cancel in the billing portal too.
- Past 7 days, still email us. Later requests are reviewed case by case, and our terms say we'll do our best to make it right. We can't promise a specific outcome outside the window.
Before you ask for a refund because a photo came out wrong, try a QuickFix re-do (included on every plan) or restage the photo with a different room type or style. Photos that fail to stage at all get their credit back automatically.
What if my renewal payment fails?
If a renewal charge doesn't go through, your plan isn't cancelled, but your fresh plan credits and QuickFix re-dos are held back while the payment processor retries the card. Once a payment succeeds, your plan's allowance comes back. Pay-as-you-go credits stay usable the whole time. To fix it, open the billing portal from the Manage subscription page and update your card.
Bottom line
Use the Manage subscription page for everything: confirm your email, press Manage plan / Cancel, and make the change in the billing portal. Upgrades are immediate, downgrades and cancellations wait for the end of the period you paid for, and refunds go by email within 7 days. Your $1 credits stay with you whatever you do to the plan, and you can check your balance and plan any time on the Manage subscription page.
